The Microcastle brand evolved over many years. After designing the original identity at the label's inception, I took over the album artwork a couple of years into its releases, working closely with founder Mitch Alexander as the catalogue grew from digital releases to special edition vinyl.
Microcastle became one of the most iconic and respected labels in the progressive house scene. A platform for Mitch to release music he loved and champion artists he believed were among the best the industry had to offer.
Mitch and I would talk for hours every time. About the industry and emerging artists, the golden age of electronic music, our shared time at Release Records, art and design, and the world in general. Politics, ecology, everything. We had something rare and I knew it.
Tragically, in the summer of 2025, within a year of what Mitch had said would be the final release, he passed away.
Clients are not just clients, even when they were friends first. They are family.
RIP Mitch. Thank you.
Always, Adam

From 2006 to 2012, we designed sets for the majority of MTV Canada's programming. The Hills After Show and all associated after shows, 1G5G, Cocktales, Sheena's Jersey Shore Pre Show, and a Brandon Flowers concert for The Killers among them.
In early 2008 we took on the full set redesign of MTV Live, the network's flagship daily show. Later that year the show won a Gemini Award for Best Talk Series in Canada.
We won't pretend that didn't feel good.

When Space Channel asks you to design a set for an entertainment, sci-fi, technology, and current affairs show, there is only one possible answer.
After a phone brief I walked into our first meeting and placed a small maquette on the cafeteria table inside Toronto's iconic MuchMusic/CityTV building at 299 Queen St W. The Executive Producer and Project Manager looked at me like I was completely insane.
In the best possible way.
The design drew from everywhere it should. A section of wall from The Empire Strikes Back. Reflection and tile from Blade Runner. And for those paying close attention, the small triangular detail powering the bottom right corner of the set could only ever be one thing. The Flux Capacitor.
We also collaborated with Ken Lashley, illustrator for Marvel and DC Comics across titles including Spider-Man, X-Men, and Silver Surfer, to create a comic book cover look for The Circuit.
Battlestar Galactica Series Finale
BSG was a defining show in the sci-fi world. When it came to an end, Space Channel hosted a live after show where fans could watch the finale together and dissect every moment afterward.
We built the set to put fans inside that world for one last night.
It was, as it should have been, like prom night.

A decade-long collaboration with the multi-talented Pārvatī, musician, author, yogini, and environmental activist, spanning a vast range of touchpoints. Identities, album artwork, magazines, books, websites, music videos, social media, and presentations. One of the most wide-ranging bodies of work we have produced.
At the heart of everything Pārvatī does is environmental and humanitarian activism. Every product and platform, music, words, and wellness, points toward protecting the planet.
Our work has extended across the entire Parvati Consortium including identities and graphics for every entity, all in service of MAPS: the Marine Arctic Peace Sanctuary.
Among it all, designing the identity for MAPS stands apart. When complete, it will become the largest protected area in human history. That is not a small thing to have your name on.
Some work remains unreleased and will be added here when the time is right.
Logos tell you everything about how a brand sees itself. Here's a small selection from across the years.
A record without a cover is just music. Here is a selection of artwork spanning electronic to indie rock.
Ah, the poster. Few formats reward obsession quite like it.
A collection spanning gig posters, reimagined classic concert posters, 80s movies, and indie flicks.
A collection of original work spanning large scale pieces to the occasional poster that refused to stay in that section.
Two very different projects. One brief.
Make it look considered.
