The redesign of the MTV Live set included a faux brick wall, a custom table and TV frame, and a series of thirty original art piece pillows produced for the 2008 season launch. The collection was a collaboration between Jellyfunk's Creative Director, Adam Nathan, the Drake Hotel's Tyler Longshaw, MTV, and Toronto clothing brand Model Citizen. The show went on to win a Gemini Award for Best Talk Series later that year.

THE AFTER SHOW

We designed several iterations of the set for The Hills After Show, an early platform for two people who went on to considerable things. Dan Levy, later co-creator of Schitt's Creek, and Jessi Cruikshank, later host of Canada's Smartest Person, among many others, both got their start here.

MTV LIVE | HOLIDAY SET

This was the project that started the whole relationship. In their first year on air, MTV asked for a simple corner setup with a Christmas tree and some presents. We took that brief somewhere else entirely.

The network had a raw, quirky energy and we felt we had licence to run with it. What we delivered was a burnt tree with doll head ornaments, a scene depicting a child walking in on her mother in a compromising situation with Santa, condoms as stockings on the mantle, and vinyl record snowflakes for the live performance area. For our own amusement, we also produced a series of bumpers featuring drunk snowmen who had, in various ways, lost control of themselves.

The relationship was on solid footing after that.
